FOR TODAY
JULY 6, 2009
Outside my window... a thunderstorm is brewing.
I am thinking... about running. Or walking, which will lead to running.
I am thankful for... finding an old journal of my husband's from when he was 10. What an awesome boy he was! I thank God that the single-mindedness and sense of adventure he had as a child are traits he still possesses today.
From the kitchen... leftover grilled Italian sausage and cheese grits for breakfast.JULY 6, 2009

I am wearing... the usual. Pajamas all day!
I am creating... a database of personal recipes with SousChef.
I am going... to the produce market for some dill later. I might even walk, if weather permits.
I am reading... This Momentary Marriage (free download!), by John Piper, and this series of posts on "Journaling as a Spiritual Discipline" at Holy Experience.
I am hoping... that this feeling of "homesickness" for a place of my own will pass soon.
I am hearing... the Tour de France as husband watches it on tv.
Around the house... things are a bit untidy. But it can wait.
One of my favorite things... the Lord has been teaching me about the importance of fellowship lately. This makes my friends seem more precious to me.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Work and pray, the usual.
A picture thought...
thankful for freedom
